: I attended a Cypress Rosewood concert today, which was nice, but the real benefit was some people I met there. Mao Lemieux is one of Cypress' "ambient" musicians, who introduced herself because of our shared SL surname. I'm really glad she did, since it transpires that she's got some interesting friends who are deeply involved in open metaverse development. She introduced me to one, ***, and we really hit it off. He promised to email me an invitation to meet someone he knows who is also into this space, [https://www.divyachander.com Divya Chander], a neuroscientist/anaesthesiologist/futurist. We chatted in SL while the concert lasted, then I accepted an invitation to see Julia Pentulia's SL home, "Love and Kisses". While we don't agree about much, we're becoming friends thanks to our mutual involvement in ISM. She has a lot of RL stuff going on right now, with her lesbian lover dying of cancer, plus being busy with her business in some unnamed aspect of tech/military in Canada. According to her self-description, she's very well-to-do and owns her own business, has a law degree, etc. I don't know how much of that is true, but SL is a perfect place to live out one's fantasies if that's what they are. At any rate, her sim is quite spectacular, and beautiful. She seems lonely, which would be consistent with her self-description, so I give her the benefit of the doubt. I also can tolerate her lifestyle choices and politics, although I don't agree with either one. Live and let live. Anyway, I was touched that she took me to her private space, which she said had only been visited by about 6 other people, so it was quite an honor.

: Now, I'm listening to a Joe Rogan podcast and writing this page on my new private "scratchpad" in [https://frayedgenes.com the FrayedGenes wiki] on my Orange Pi. When I'm through writing, I'll copy it from this wiki and paste it into my PC wiki's Journal, then erase it. I need to remember to delete the FHB page's history, too, or else any efforts to keep it private are wasted.
