Family History Book: Harvey Emmett Watson (1876-1891)

Harvey Emmett Watson was born on 13 February 1876 in Alabama. He was the third child, and first son, of Charles M Watson and Mattie Smith.
After Charles died in 1889, his widow and younger children, including Harvey Emmett, left for Texas. Unfortunately, on the way as they were crossing a river, Harvey Emmett drowned on 25 July 1891. He was just 15.
A side note: When Brooks Watson had his Y-DNA tested, he was a bit disturbed by not matching anyone named Watson. However, he did match two people named Harvey. So far we don't know of any Harvey ancestors on his paternal line, although one of his maternal great-grandmothers was a Harvey. So that is something of a mystery. But in subsequent years we have realized there are very few Watsons who potentially share his Y-DNA, although there are many other unrelated Watsons who have had their Y-DNA tested.
