My hypothesis is that his son, also named David, is the elusive father of our previous &quot;brick wall&quot;, [[FHB Charles M Watson|Charles M Watson]] (1838-1889), who stated on a US Census that he was born in Georgia. Because of this breakthrugh, we can now trace our line back to the generation prior to immigration to America, and possibly beyond. I will not duplicate the description of how I determined our connection here.
